Papaya and honey, anti-ageing skin miracles, but this time don’t eat them

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. This weekend I took the time to recharge my skin for the new week ahead. Nothing feels better than to pull your hair back and slather on those beautifying products that make your skin feel as soft as a baby’s bottom again.

This new mask that I received in my September Glambox has been starring at me every time I open my bathroom cabinet. So I thought it was high-time I gave it a try.

Glamboxme is a company that you subscribe to for only 50 AED/month. And they send a Glambox full of 4-5 beauty products in trial sizes right to your door step. How great is that? They send you new products so that you can try before you buy the full size. Amazing! Similar to birchbox and glambag in the USA.
The mask in question was a skin tightening and detoxifying pack that is nourished by the papaya fruit extract and honey. It helps remove blemishes and pigmentation by softening the cells that produce melanin promoting smooth skin.

It comes in a beautiful frosted glass bottle holding 50gms of this very fresh sweet smelling, natural looking mask that looks like something you could whip up in your kitchen using only the freshest skin softening ingredients.

20121023-235354.jpgWith an ingredients list as pure and natural as this, I had no qualms about putting it on my face, even though it was a new product to me. And I must say that it felt really good on my skin. It made my skin look refreshed and healthy. The glow lasted for at least 2 days. So I would recommend using it at least twice a week.

I personally love using natural masks because they have to stay on your skin the longest. Ayurvedic products show their superiority almost instantly in use over other so called “natural” products.

Ayurveda has a proven track record of well researched and tested herbal and natural therapies.

Active Ingredients in this mask include
Natural Clay
– Absorbs and declogs
Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Oil
– Provides Vitamin E and nourishes
Honey
– Nourishes and provides micro-nutrition for the skin
Papaya Extract
– Anti oxidant, moisturizes and protects.

The mask goes on smoothly and does tingle if you’ve got open pores. But it didn’t last long. It then just felt cool and calming. I let it dry till I could not move my face anymore and wiped it of with a soft wash cloth dipped in warm water. This really helps with the exfoliation process and makes your skin extra smooth.
This mask is recommended for all skin types but will especially cleanse oily skin because of the clay.

Mine was a trial sample but the products range from 50 – approx 120AED. They are available online on their website and at leading pharmacies in the UAE. They are actually made in the UAE which is nice to see on the packaging.

If you do get your hands on these Ayurvedic products give them a try. They do work magic!
